Podcast Question of the Week – Episode 121

Dumbledore is all up in everyone’s face this week as he comes to whisk Harry away to the Burrow. But first, there is the little matter of Kreacher that needs to be settled. Let’s ponder this thought provoking “What If…?”

When the ownership of Kreacher is uncertain, Dumbledore suggests to Harry, “Give him an order. If he has passed into your ownership, he will have to obey. If not, then we shall have to think of some other means of keeping him from his rightful mistress.” If it had turned out that Kreacher did not pass to Harry, what “other means” do we think Dumbledore would have suggested/enacted to keep the Order safe from Bellatrix or to keep Kreacher from talking? How has Dumbledore kept Kreacher from going to Bellatrix thus far?
