In this chapter, we learn that Voldemort had indeed placed a curse on the Defense Against the Dark Arts position at Hogwarts. So how exactly does this happen? How does one place a curse on an abstract idea such as a teaching position? How exactly does it stay in place? Is the curse placed on the office or some other part of the physical castle? Or could this possibly be some wild coincidence and not a curse at all?
