Podcast Question of the Week – Episode 112
A single punctuation mark bewitches our minds (and ensnares our senses…) in this week’s podcast question of the week.
In this chapter, the group goes into the Hall of Prophecies and Ron coincidentally finds the Prophecy that has Harry’s name on it: labeled S.P.T. to A.P.W.B.D. – Dark Lord and (?) Harry Potter. We know that at one point that question mark related to both Harry and Neville, and was later changed to Harry’s name. Given the enchantments surrounding the prophecy, who can or cannot take it off the shelf, and knowing what we do from Dumbledore’s conversation at the end of this book, is there any chance at all that Neville could still take the Prophecy off the shelf? Also, what exactly is enchanted? The ball? Is it the shelf? Is it the paper? Could someone change the piece of descriptive paper, and would that then differ who could pick up the Prophecy?Â
