Question of the Week

Podcast Question of the Week – Episode 89

Objection! You simply cannot scroll past this post without checking out our Question of the Week! Michael wants to know what you think about standing up to Umbridge.

In his first Defense Against the Dark Arts class of the year, Harry cannot stop himself from addressing Umbridge’s lies head-on, despite warnings from both Hermione and McGonagall to be tactful and keep his head down. As we will see throughout this book, Harry continues this course of action, mainly to his detriment and in disregard of constant advice to the contrary. What, if anything, does Harry and the Hogwarts community gain by his continued goading of Umbridge? Do the benefits of Harry’s outbursts outweigh the consequences, or is he simply shouting in vain?

Leave us your response below & we just might read them on the next episode of Alohomora!
