This chapter is our final glimpse of the Dursley family unit. As we examined in this chapter, these characters have (to varying degrees) evolved from their initial incarnations, leading us to crave as much information about them as we can get in their last appearance. However, in true Rowling fashion, not all is revealed, something that was met with disappointment on many fans’ initial reads of Deathly Hallows. What scraps of information about the Dursleys could Rowling have added in this moment to satisfy our curiosity? What would have been the consequences to the story of Deathly Hallows if more information had been revealed at this point?
